Two important dates I forgot to acknowledge here:
My favorite boy turned SEVEN last week. I both love and hate him getting older.
I feel incredibly blessed to see him becoming himself. He is the most amazing gift I have ever received (along with his sister, of course).
Sunday marked two years that we have been logged in in China. I guess, technically, that makes us 15 months overdue. It makes the 9 days I was overdue with Sawyer look like nothin'! I definitely got stretch marks this time too- except they aren't on my stomach, they are on my soul. (They're more attractive that way, for sure!)

Definitely -- soul stretch marks are much more attractive. Not only are they more attractive in and of themselves, they are actually productive and improve your appearance exponentially over time! Can't say that about the ones on my hips!

I like the idea of getting stretch marks on your soul during the adoption process...I've definitely got more than my fair share!!! :)
More attractive in that the Lord has grown you tremendously and I believe those stretch marks are the best kind. When we can look back at our trials and see how the Lord broguht us closer to him and taught us the kind of faith we hadn't experienced before. I believe those stretch marks will continue to stretch as we parent these precious children. I know mine sure have! Praying for a blessed summer, in more ways than one!
